Following on from our last post, I make no judgement about what has / hasn't been said in relation to the handwriting comparison in the Durst matter, however if the report of 'rubber stamping' is in fact accurate, then a critical integrity failure has occurred.
Stating the obvious? Probably!
The point is, quality assurance measures in forensic disciplines are not negotiable, they are in place for a reason. Time and time again we see reports of allegedly erroneous opinions (across different disciplines) that would have been intercepted during a robust review.
