Past and current activities

  • 2018 | Contracted by the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs, conceptualise and develop an advanced workshop for delivery to border control document examination specialists from member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).  This interactive workshop will be designed to explore strategies associated with the examination of travel and related documents and the development of effective training.      

  • 2017 | Business practice review, and training workshop, for assessment authority shifting from paper-based to electronic document submission. This included the development and delivery of a two day workshop titled Electronically Submitted Documents Assessment for Authenticity in the Workplace

  • 2017 | Lead authors of the Document Examination Laboratory Manual for the Immigration Environment for the International Organization for Migration (IOM)

  • 2017 | Development and delivery of workshops for the International Organization for Migration (IOM).  These workshops, titled Document Examination Report Writing and Court Testimony  were delivered to the Immigration Department of Malaysia

  • 2016 | Lead authors of the Passport Examination Procedure Manual II for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) (click here for more details and purchase)

  • 2016 | Development of document examination e-Learning content for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

  • 2015 | Coordinate the delivery of specialist workshops delivered by OVD Kinegram AG Leonhard Kurz (Aust.) to Australian Government document specialists

  • 2015 | Conceptualising international identity document proficiency testing methodologies for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

  • 2012 - 2013 | Develop and deliver advanced document examination training workshops to international forensic document examiners for the National Centre for Forensic Studies (NCFS) in support of Australian Federal Police and broader government initiatives.

  • 2010 | Participate in the Expert Group Meeting for development of the Guide for the development of forensic document examination capacity publication by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)

  • 2006 - 2012 | Delivery and facilitation of international workshops for The Bali Process on People Smuggling, Trafficking in Persons and Related Transnational Crime (Bali Process) and the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).
