Identity documents - Are they real?
Audience: Front line law enforcement, border control and assessment officers.
Course duration: 1 day
Purpose: In structuring this course, modules have been selected to educate front-line officers and assessing staff, and provide foundation knowledge to managers and investigators, about document and identity fraud.
The objective of this course is to raise awareness of the breadth of document and identity fraud and provide foundation skills for the recognition of fraud in the workplace.
Note: The assessing of non-original and electronic documents module is well suited as complimentary learning to this course.
Security document examination skills development workshop
Audience: Border control and assessment officers.
Course duration: 4 days
Purpose: In structuring this course, modules have been selected to educate border control and assessment officers who are developing, or building on, knowledge and skills required to understand and examine identity and security documents in the workplace.
The objective of this course is to explore the participant's current understanding, and to reinforce and challenge their knowledge and skills. Participants are expected to apply their knowledge to a range of activities, contribute to group discussions, and debate with fellow participants.
Note: This course does not provide a qualification in document examination.
Assessing non-original and electronic documents
Audience: Front line law enforcement, border control and assessment officers required to assess non-original documents.
Course duration: Typically 2 - 4 hours
Purpose: Whilst this component of learning can be delivered as a stand-alone course, it is preferable to incorporate this subject with other content.
Particularly relevant for assessment and front counter staff, this module will discuss both the value and limitations associated with the assessment of non-original and electronic documents.
